ABOUT THE ARTIST

Photographer and fine thinker DONK is a street artist working within the paste-up tradition. He combines photography, printmaking and hand finishes techniques to produce images of unique elegance and beauty. His work is pasted all around the East, in London. He prefers hidden or derelict sites as he feels his pieces gain something from its inherently historical surrounding. His subjects are often friends and family and each one is impersonating a different piece of humanity. Donk imagery is a playful remix of history and urban culture and talks often of vulnerability, time and human strength. And who doesn't need to be reminded about that?
